According to a report from MoneyDJ News on January 2, 2024, Yijia (2402), a flexible PCB manufacturer, is optimistic about the strong demand for automotive electronic products in the global automotive market. In the field of flexible PCBs for automotive panels, Yijia has achieved a high market share performance. The company also has expansion plans for this year. They are currently seeking a suitable new factory location near their existing old factory in Malaysia and it is expected to be finalized soon. The new factory is expected to start construction this year and become the second production base in Malaysia.
Yijia generated a revenue of NT$692 million in December 2023, representing a monthly decline of 8.14%, primarily due to year-end inventory adjustments. Looking ahead to the first quarter, although it is typically the slowest season of the year, there are still opportunities for year-on-year growth compared to the same period last year.
While Yijia already has a production base in Malaysia, it is relatively small and outdated, not meeting the required production capacity. Additionally, considering the demand for production in Southeast Asia due to geopolitical factors, Yijia's expansion focuses on Malaysia. They have recently been searching for suitable land in the industrial area near the old factory. The new land area is several times larger than the old factory, and construction is expected to begin once the land is finalized.
Among domestic PCB manufacturers, Yijia has a high proportion of applications in automotive use. As of the third quarter of 2023, automotive applications accounted for 69% of their business. Yijia specifically targets the automotive panel market, including central control panels, passenger side panels, rearview mirrors, and other panels. In the automotive panel market for flexible PCBs, Yijia has already achieved a significant global market share.
