December 12th News: According to foreign media reports, Huawei France has announced that Huawei's first overseas factory has been confirmed to be established in France and is expected to start production by the end of 2025!

Huawei France's Deputy General Manager, Zhang Minggang, has stated that Huawei's factory in France will be located in the town of Brumath in the Bas-Rhin department, covering an area of approximately 8 hectares (about 80,000 square meters).

According to the announcement, the factory will be situated in a commercial park in Brumath, Bas-Rhin department, covering an area of around 8 hectares. The project is estimated to require an investment of approximately 200 million euros and is expected to have an annual output value of 1 billion euros (approximately 772 million Chinese yuan) by creating 300 direct job opportunities initially, with the potential to create 500 jobs in the long term.

The products manufactured in the new factory will primarily serve the European region, providing comprehensive coverage of the end-to-end industry chain, including research and development, sales, procurement, production, logistics, services, and talent development. This will have a positive impact on the local upstream and downstream industrial chains in Europe.

A Huawei spokesperson stated that the factory will produce components for 4G and 5G base stations, including chipset and motherboards. The products from this factory will be supplied to European customers. "By establishing a factory at the crossroads of Europe, Huawei will enrich its business on the European continent through 23 research centers, over 100 cooperative universities, more than 3,100 suppliers, and an efficient supply chain."

It was previously reported by the media that Huawei announced as early as 2019 its plan to establish its first European factory in France. After all, Europe was once Huawei's largest overseas market and was considered the company's second home by Ren Zhengfei, Huawei's founder.

According to data, Huawei entered the French market in 2003 and has since established six research centers and a global design center in Paris. By 2021, Huawei claims to have achieved 2.5 billion euros in sales in France, creating nearly 10,000 job positions and holding a 20% share in the French telecommunications infrastructure market.
